Dr. Lidwine Meffo

Lidwine Meffo is a dedicated young entrepreneur and PhD candidate with an MBA and dual master’s degrees in project management and psychology. Committed to Africa’s development, particularly in Cameroon, she participates in over 30 global conferences annually as an independent consultant to the United Nations. Recently, she provided consulting services to the Nigerian Mission at the UN.

Lidwine is the founder of The Smiling Institution, a training center focused on leadership, strategy, and gastronomy, and she established The Smiling Foundation, a non-profit supporting women’s education and empowerment. Her efforts have impacted over 200,000 women and children, distributing over 500,000 books across Africa.

She is also leading a project to build libraries in 22 African countries and advocates for youth and women’s issues at the UN. Recognized for her humanitarian contributions, Lidwine has received multiple awards and honors, including from the City of New York and the UN. Additionally, she has managed beauty salons in New York, Cameroon, and Senegal since 2000.
